Passing of Suzanne D. McAlpine

Suzanne D. McAlpine, age 83, of East Fallowfield, passed away on Saturday March 2nd 2019. She was the wife of William "Jim" McAlpine for over 28 years and the late Clyde J. Deck Sr. who died in 1987. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Pulinka. Suzanne was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Byzantine Catholic Church. in Coatesville. She was a graduate of Scott High School Class of 1953. She worked for QVC and retired after 10 years. Suzanne enjoyed cooking, garage sales, crafts, her pool, swimming, refinishing furniture, flower gardening, crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family. She is survived by five children: Clyde Jr. husband of Eve Deck of Christiana, Suzanne wife of Ron Jacoby of Coatesville, Julie wife of Lance Walls of Cochranville, Robert husband of Rhonda Deck of Parkesburg, Brad Deck of Coatesville, three step-children: Robert Jay husband of Mary McAlpine of Brandamore, Millyann wife of Merle Davis of Glenmoore, Trudy Simpson of Coatesville, nineteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and two siblings: Michael Pulinka of Spring City and Julia Gay of Downingtown. She was preceded in death by six sibilings: Mary Csedrik, Steve, John, George, Nicholas and Alex Pulinka. A memorial mass will take place on Friday March 8th at 11am at the Blessed Virgin Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 88 Gap Road, Coatesville with Father Andriy Kovach officiating. There will be a time to greet the family from 10am until time of the service.
