On January 31st 2010 The Coatesville Fire Department along with the Westwood Fire Company and Brandywine Medic 93 were dispatched to Route 82 for a reported serious auto accident.
Engine 41-2, Rescue 43, Ambulance 41-1, Assistant 41 all made the response shortly after the dispatch and were advised by the Chester County 911 Center of a single vehicle accident with one driver unconscious.
Rescue 43 and Engine 41-2 arrived at the same time to confirm the report. Crews from both trucks split up into teams assisting the ambulance with one team assisting with patient care while the other team handled the hazards on the vehicle and swept up the debris on the roadway.
Ambulance 41-1 transported 1 patient to LGH ER for the injuries they substained from the accident. Crews cleared the scene a short time later turning the scene over to the Valley Police Department.
