Fuel Spill At The Turkey Hill

By Coatesville Fire Department
March 3, 2010

On March 3rd, 2010 The Coatesville Fire Department was dispatched to the Turkey Hill on Kings Highway for a reported fuel spill.

Engine 41-2 Ladder 43 Ambulance 41-3 all made the response shortly after dispatched and were advised by the 911 center that an occupant was pumping gas and left the pump unattended. Ladder 43 was the first arriving unit to meet with Turkey Hill employees who reported several gallons of fuel on the ground.

Ladder 43 and Engine 41-2's crew checked the perimeter to confirm no drains were compromised with the gas and assisted with throwing cat litter on the ground. Crews cleared the scene a short time later turning the scene over to the Turkey Hill Employees who were handling the situation.
