Training Series Continues With Hose Line Advancement

On March 10Th 2010 The Coatesville Fire Department continued it's training series with tonight's topic being hose line advancement.

Tonight's training was instructed by Deputy Chief Pacana and also included some of our neighboring companies which were Westwood and East Brandywine Fire Companies. Members sat through a brief classroom session and reviewed the following topics:

1. Supply Line
2. Apparatus Placement
3. Attack Line Selection
4. Deploying Attack Lines
5. Extending Hose Lines
6. Pump Pressures

After the brief classroom session members went to a vacant property in the city to perform the hands on portion of the training. Rescue 44 and Engine 41-2 were used in tonight's training members performed several hose line advancement scenarios given to them by Deputy Chief Pacana. The training lasted an hour and a half with over 20 people attending.
