"Happy Birthday" to Jim McAlpine!! Turns 90!!
Jim comes to the station everyday to ensure things are in order with the company store and our recycling bins. Jim is the President of the company store and very active as one of our Executive Board members. Jim has been an active member for over 70 years with Washington Hose Company No.1!!

WHC Turns 150 Years Old on 8/2021

This year the Washington Hose Company No.1 celebrates "150" years of serving the City of Coatesville and the surrounding communities!!
We are planning a community celebration sometime in August, but depends on COVID restrictions.

City of Coatesville Purchases WHC Tiller!!

Last year WHC purchased a 1997 Seagraves tiller from a South Carolina fire department. WHC agreed to purchase the truck and then make repairs and updates in order for it to go into service. Once everything was completed the city agreed to purchase the tiller as a replacement for the E-One Ladder truck that was sold last year by CFRA.
