By EMS Chief Scott Thornton
April 16, 2021

It's with a deep heart that one of our past WHC EMS volunteers has passed away.

Ali Louise March, 24, of Ephrata, formerly of Coatesville, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at her residence.

Born in West Chester, Ali was the daughter of Robert “Bob” March and Karen Howden-March. She was the fiancé of Adam Waltemyer.

Ali’s love of helping others led her to a career as an EMT which she was extremely passionate about. She was on the path to becoming a paramedic. She was a student in Class #42 of HACC. Ali was a member of Hazmat 2 Environmental Fire Rescue, Washington Hose Company, and numerous EMS agencies. Ali loved horseback riding, fishing, baking, the beach, and photography.

In addition to her parents and fiancé, Ali is survived by her siblings: Tracey March, BJ March, and Jessie March; maternal grandparents: Anita Kirkner, Donald Kirkner, and Carol Wagner; and her dog, Duke. Ali was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Ali was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Ronald “Scotty” Howden, and her paternal grandparents: Barbara and Frank March.

An outdoor memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 17th, 2021 at James J. Terry Funeral Home, Inc., 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, at 11:30. A visitation will be held inside of the funeral home from 9:45-11:15. It is kindly requested that all guests wear face coverings and practice social distancing.

Memorial contributions in Ali’s name may be made to Chester County Hero Fund: 207 East Marshall Street, West Chester, PA 19380
